What is IELTS?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a global, standardized English language proficiency test. IELTS is owned jointly by the British Council, IDP IELTS Australia, and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

What skills does IELTS test?

Can I take IELTS online?

No. IELTS is a paper-based test.

IELTS Academic or General?

There are two IELTS tests: Academic and General. IELTS Academic is taken by internationally educated students who wish to attend a university course in an English speaking country or those people wishing to join a professional body in the fields such as law, medicine, education, arts, sciences, and government services.

IELTS General is mainly taken for immigration purposes.

How do I register for the test?

When do I receive the result?

IELTS releases the results 13 days after you complete the test.
